Welcome! Thank you so much for visiting my site, please bare with me as I continue to construct my site! The topic of stereotypes, racism, prejudice, discrimination, and ignorance has been very important to me since I was about 10 years old, when I first noticed and experienced racism (another story), however it continues to be a conversation of great importance considering our political climate. So for starters, I just want to point out that this site was inspired by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, whose famous and heart-warming TED Talk addresses the danger of a single story, or from my own expanded interpretation: the negative stereotypes that exist about various groups of people in our society that don't share the WHOLE story of who they are. Thus my goal is to deconstruct the norms we all have learned in our western society, in order to explore the unknown and to accept the vast realities and possibilities of human culture.
